A NEW CENTER FOR SOCIAL REHABILITATION AND INTEGRATION OPENS DOORS, SUPPORTED BY THE SACP

The Chairperson of the State Agency for Child Protection, Dr. Eleonora Lilova, was the official guest at the inauguration of the Center for Social Rehabilitation and Integration "Talents and Innovations" in the town of Elin Pelin. It is established by the Association "Talents and Innovations" with the support of the SACP, MLSP and other institutions, and is funded by the Operational Program "Rural Development".

The services of the Center can be used by children aged 6 to 18 who have physical and psychological needs. Disadvantaged children as well as those with special educational needs are also supported.

"Good child development is the most valuable investment for all of us, and caring, especially for children with special needs, means special attention, patience and perseverance. In this center, rehabilitation, therapy and all services are at the required level, not only because of the good base, but also because for people here this is a cause and they work with love and devotion to children and their families. I believe that all of us with joint efforts can contribute to having more cheerful and sunny children's smiles! ", said the Chairperson of the SACP Dr. Eleonora Lilova.

At the Center, the work of specialists with children is focused on rehabilitation activities, which advocate several types of therapies: medical, speech therapy, cognitive and psychological. Social therapeutic activities such as aromatherapy, mineral therapy, metal therapy, herbal therapy and food therapy are also included. The parameters of the buildings of the service are also impressive, namely: a sports hall on three floors, a two-storey school building and another four-storey building with classrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a room for a physiotherapist, etc.

The “Talents and Innovations” team plans to support children in their free time by giving them the opportunity to celebrate personal and national holidays. The project is part of the “Charity and Solidarity” Program at the “Social Protection” Fund for the provision of social services in partnership with representatives of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church. Its main goal is to support the process of social inclusion of vulnerable Bulgarian citizens who for various social reasons are in difficulty and need support.

The event was attended by Ms. Denitsa Sacheva, Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Mr. Ilian Todorov, Regional Governor of Sofia, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivaylo Simeonov, Mayor of Elin Pelin, His Eminence Bishop of Belogradchik Polycarp Vicar of Sofia, public figures and others.
